Maintenance of plastic windows
To ensure our windows serve you in the best possible way without unneeded complications, several basic instructions must be adhered to once the installation is finished and installed windows are handed over:
First window cleaning
- Once the plasters are tidied, remove the protective foil from the frames and leaves as soon as possible, but no later than three months after the window installation. The protective foil may be difficult to remove after this period due to weather effects.
- If you need to cover the window frames again, use exclusively the yellow Storch adhesive tape, which can be safely removed (unlike the glue used in other tapes).
- Never stick the adhesive tape directly to the window handle; first wrap the handle in, for example, paper, and then apply the adhesive tape to it.
- Before normal use, first clean the windows thoroughly – wash any remaining plaster from the frames, leaves and most importantly, remove mechanically and vacuum all of the impurities from the hardware slot – plaster, walling material, steel and PVC chips, etc.
Handle up Tilting of leaf – long-term ventilation.
Handle horizontal Rotary position, full opening of leaf.
Handle down Window closed, leaf pulled up into the frame.
Micro-ventilation Slight pulling of the leaf away from frame with the window closed to allow circulation of air.
Adjustment of the ROTO-NT all-round hardware The all-round hardware is adjustable in every direction:
1. Leaf hinge Leaf lifting – lowering Tool: M4 Alley key
2. Frame hinge Horizontal shift of the bottom edge of leaf Tool: M4 Allen key
3. Leaf shears Horizontal shift of the top edge of leaf Tool: M4 Allen key
4. Thrust of leaf to the frame Adjustment of eccentric closing pins – rotation ± 90° = height adjustment ± 0.8 mm Tool: M4 Allen key

- Avoid using any chemical agents to prevent damage to the rubber sealing.
Window seal cleaning
- Wipe the dust from the seal regularly.
